For the 2014 leg of CQWW CW I was invited by Don G3BJ to join the team at G5W in a M/2 HP entry, gunning for the G record.
The team comprised myself, Don G3BJ, Mike G3WPH and John G4DRS. As ever Hilary G4JKS and Don were great hosts and the contest was great fun. M/2 certainly kept the interest up on both radios. As we all know mult hunting can be hard work. Of course with M/2 there is a balance to be struck to find the multipliers. They don’t all find you.

The record was far surpassed and we were placed 1st in England, 9th in Europe and 23rd in the World. On top of that we set a new England record, which after adjudication is set at 13,974,317 points.
