After spending a little while in the UK I now find myself back in W3-land and what better time to spend the first weekend of mandatory quarantine but to enter a contest.
I’ve only really entered the IARU HF Championship contest when I’ve been operating as part of the UK team GR2HQ, but this year I wasn’t able to help them out, other than finding them on a couple of bands.
As all contests recently I ran 100W from my Icom IC-7610 and dipoles in the attic.
Conditions were decent domestically when I got going and improved to EU in the evening time on 20m.
I was pleased also to add 6 new DXCCs to my tally (ZS, ES, PJ4, OH0, KL7 and UA9) and also 2 more states for WAS (VT and AK).
I spent 6 hours and 7 minutes on the bands according to N1MM logger
